Not discipline. Not self-sacrificing. Never "for your own good". How would it be if the members of a family treated each other as autonomous, rational and well-intentioned people?

I'm just an ordinary Englishman, with no political ties or links, increasingly concerned at the erosion of basic freedoms, the transfer of almost all meaningful political power to the EU Government. The individual is no longer important to the British or EU governing elite.

The GRAHAM BADMAN report to the secretary of state on THE REVIEW OF ELECTIVE HOME EDUCATION IN ENGLAND, 11 JUNE 2009.
Although this report was centered around home educated children it will in fact have implications for all school age children in England and will compromise their rights to privacy and the parents rights to protect and educate their children.
Some feel we are heading towards a prison state where the parents will no longer have the right to decide what is best for their children, the government or designated local authority officer will have the right to access the home and have the right to speak to our children alone without our consent.
WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE FOR OR AGAINST HOME EDUCATION THIS COMPROMISES THE RIGHTS OF ALL CHILDREN IN ENGLAND.
