This is a very important issue and I was alerted to it by another home educator shortly after the Badman report came out.

I have sent for the report and have begun to gather additional data e.g. from the US. Can you tell me whether there were submissions to Badman from home-schoolers addressing the concerns about home schooling being used as a cover for child abuse, and about eventual outcome levels of attainment(success of home schooled children at university entry e.g.)?

I very much sympathise with the home-schoolers concerns about licensing, 12 month plans, etc, and the proposed change of relationship between the state and all minors in the country, and once I've looked into this I shall indeed write about it and do what else is possible - and will write again to you soon.
